An overlay profile is a way to create a high quality boundary. These profiles can be used to cover existing stacking blocks or concrete ties with Corten steel. The Corten steel overlay profiles are produced in-house by our craftsmen.
What type of material is used?
The transfer profiles are made of Corten steel. This ensures a long lifespan and therefore provides durable material in your garden. This type of metal has the unique property of forming a very dense oxide skin (rust layer). Rusting through is therefore impossible. Due to the dense oxide layer, the underlying material is protected from oxygen, which slows down the oxidation process, while the corrosion continues. The overlay profile is delivered without rust, i.e. in the gray metal color. The start of the rusting process begins within the first 2 months, no treatment is required. Corten steel is a metal alloy consisting of iron to which copper, phosphorus, silicon, nickel and chromium have been added. The corten steel overlay profile is produced in-house by our own craftsmen. Please note that during the rusting process, the overlay profile may peel off.
